Boulder Canyon Trail & Boulder Farmer's Market

Activity:  Bike
Difficulty:  Easy
Distance:  1.9 miles (one way)
Location: Boulder Canyon
Description:

We parked in the Justice Center parking lot, weekend parking was free. A short ride through the neighborhood on Arapahoe Ave towards Eben G. Fine park gets you to the start of the canyon trail. (Ride up the canyon to stay on the trail or head back to town on Boulder Creek Path.) A gradual climb on a crushed gravel trail takes you almost 2 miles up the canyon. The trail runs along Boulder Creek and Boulder Canyon Drive. There are port-a-potties at the end of the route and a nice clearing where we ate our lunch. It was a quick ride back down to Eben G. Fine Park where we stopped to let the kids play.

We extended our day by biking along the Boulder Creek Path to the Boulder Farmer's Market. Bring a bike lock and park in the very crowded bike racks. We also took advantage of the stroller wheel on our 2016 Thule Chariot Chinook2 trailer. This is a wonderful feature that allows the bike trailer to easily convert into a stroller with just a couple clicks. We enjoyed walking around the farmer's market and grabbed a tamale for a snack. (Tamales, my farmer's market weakness.) It was yummy and Brett enjoyed the sweet chili sauce that was recommended by the booth operator. We wrapped up our day biking back to the parking spot when the farmer's market was closing.
